Established in 2003, the University of Santo Tomas Collection of Microbial Strains (USTCMS) is the institution’s biological repository of indigenous, clinical and biotechnological microbial strains. It is a member of the Philippine Network of Microbial Culture Collections (PNMCC), World Federation of Culture Collections (WFCC) and Asian Consortium for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Microbial Resources (ACM).

(1) The USTCMS is not responsible for any bodily harm or injury that may be caused by microbial strains requested from us.
(2) Please note that we receive numerous emails per day and answering each one takes time as operations are ran by student volunteers.
(3) For non-UST patrons, please do not visit the USTCMS office without prior contact or permission from us.
(4) We do not ship or deliver strains. Requests are strictly for pickup at the USTCMS office only.
(5) The USTCMS is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM only.
